Moving to NJ is a BIG step! I know all about it since I too am a former New Yorker and the thought of leaving the Big Apple meant leaving the shopping experience, the great dining, the nightlife, the cultural diversity, Central Park, arts and more! For a moment I thought moving to NJ meant that would all go away. Sound familiar? Reality check–NJ is just another way of life. Really it is. What you’re trading off by relocating to NJ is a little bit of NY life PLUS the bonuses of great parks, outdoors life, wineries, dining and a sense of family. Yes it’s a slower pace out here but isn’t that what you were escaping? Who said you can’t still make a trek back into NY if you live in NJ–you can.
